When we see the world as it is, and our hearts break and we say “it shouldn’t be this way”, we live as discontenters!

When we throw ourselves in to the brokenness and the beauty, and pursue the loving and just ways of Jesus, we live we discontenters!

When we pursue shalom in the every day in every place – and choose to humbly stand against that which is inconsistent with the ways of Jesus – we live as Christ-like discontenters. When we know we can’t turn our hearts, ears and eyes away.

When we recognise that our one, small voice and actions for change can make a difference, we live as discontenters!

May this be my posture in 2026. Lord strengthen my courage and desire to live as a discontenter in the new year ahead – in a world that desperately needs more ordinary, humble, serving people, pursuing the loving, compassionate, just and discontented ways of Jesus!
